Our Story
We are Sloth Doctor Games - a fresh indie studio formed by recent graduates from Abertay University in Dundee. Our journey began in summer 2024, when we developed our first game, Heldritch Rush, for DARE Academy.
As finalists, we showcased Heldritch Rush at EGX London, where we were proud to receive the Chrome Productions Award. After a brief pause to complete our degrees, we’ve reunited to bring Heldritch Rush to life.

Heldritch Rush is a '90s-inspired isometric rail-shooter with accessibility features that were unheard of back in the day. Whether you're a seasoned fan of rail-shooters, grew up on PlayStation 1 or Dreamcast classics, or are just discovering the magic of retro games—Heldritch Rush delivers a powerful hit of nostalgia and, most importantly, a damn fun experience.
Take on the role of the Exterminator as you blast through waves of grotesque enemies in a collapsing arcade and bowling alley, uncovering the source of a hellish outbreak buried deep in a secret underground lab.
